Harleen Deol makes it into India's ODI Squad

Harleen Deol is the second player after Sushma Verma from the Himachal Women Cricket Academy to represent India.

Harleen Deol, all rounder class players from HPCA, has been bringing laurels to the association time and again. And this is huge as she has been added in the India’s ODI squad. It brings immense pleasure and pride for us to see the players who were nurtured here in the Himachal Women Cricket Academy, now representing the country in the blue jersey after Sushma Verma.

Harleen was earlier selected in the Board President’s XI Team for a warm up match against England played on 18th of Feb 2019. Also, her role was very crucial in the team when Himachal Women Team reached the semi finals of the Senior Women One Day League 2018-19.

Harleen was also in the Team Red squad of the Senior Women’s Cricket Challenger Trophy One Day Match 2018-19, where Team Red was the winner and Harleen scored a crucial 42 runs for the team in that final match. This talented girls has achieved so much in such a short period of time.

"I have seen her playing in the field, and we (HPCA) cannot be more proud of her today when she will be playing for India against England. The kind of player she is in the field, disciplined and focused, she is the same off the field too. She is a very talented all rounder player and yes we know she is going to achieve so much more in the future," says Sh. Yudhister Katoch, Interim Committee Member.
