Prashant Chopra to represent India A in 4th and 5th one-day against South Africa A. starting August 29 at Thiruvananthapuram. Prashant is Right-hand Opening batsman and Captain of Himachal Ranji trophy team, Chopra is playing IPL for Rajasthan royals who bought him for his base price of Rs 20 Lakhs.
Prashant is the leading run-scorer for Himachal Pradesh in first-class cricket and has quite a few records to his name in the longest format of the game in domestic cricket. His story of cricket started when he featured in U-19 World Cup-winning squad of India in 2012. He debuted for Himachal in the 2012 and since then has been opening batsman for Himachal Ranji. In the 2016-17 Ranji Season, he scored 271 runs in the opening day of the match against Punjab, which is the second-highest number of runs scored in a single day in the history of the tournament. The next day Chopra completed his triple century, making him the first player from Himachal to score a triple century. What made it more special was that day it was his birthday.
